The very first Alien comic book, based on the Alien movie and released as a graphic novel in 1979, is set to be re-released later this summer.
Vacant. Two space helmets resting on chairs. Electronic hum. Lights on the helmets begin to signal one another. Moments of silence. A yellow light goes on. Electronic hum. A green light goes on in front of one helmet. Electronic pulsing sounds. A red light goes on in front of the other helmet. An electronic conversation ensues. Reaches a cresendo. Then silence.
And when the silence is broken… the crew of the Nostromo must grapple with a terrifying life force they cannot leash, nor even comprehend – the Alien!
The stunning color graphic novel of Ridley Scott’s legendary sci-fi thriller!

New Sam Kieth Aliens Comic Book
Posted on March 15th, 2012 | By: Bert Ehrmann
It looks like artist Sam Kieth is working on another Aliens comic book.
Back in the early 1990s Kieth illustrated the third series of Aliens comics that was set about a decade after the movie Aliens (1986) in a world where the movie Alien 3 (1992) never happened. Here, characters Hicks and Newt returned to Earth to find it swarming with aliens.
After Alien 3 was released which opened with the deaths of both Hicks and Newt, later releases of the comics were edited and Hicks was renamed Wilks and Newt Billie.
I always thought that after the movie Aliens the Dark Horse Aliens comics were much better than the films.
