This version of the site was the very first version of Dangerous Universe
that went to the domain name Dangerous Universe.com. Most of the content
of the site was in the form of movie reviews and updates on a weekly
basis.

D.U. 1999
The golden age of Dangerous Universe, and not just because the site
was a golden yellow! The site was updated daily with entertainment news
and content. The biggest draw to the site, by far, was of my review
of the script to the movie "Mission to Mars" months before
the movie came out. I think at one point the site was getting something
like six times the usual traffic just because of this one link.
This also was the time that the site "Survive Mars"
was spun out of Dangerous Universe into it's own domain covering this
slew of movies dealing with the planet Mars. There were five movies
all dealing with the planet. For a time, Survive Mars was much more
popular than Dangerous Universe. Unfortunately, the Mars movies that
the site set out to cover all tanked at the box office essentially dooming
the site to oblivion.

Test Version of D.U. 2000
A test version of the site, something built to try out some concepts
that I wanted to use in the site. If this version ever made it to the
finished state it would have been built in Flash and feature animation
and music. Although this design never got all that far out of the comp
stage, I think there were a total of two pages built, some of the ideas
used in this test version were incorporated into later versions of the
site. Music intros used in the site were by "The Donnas,"
years before they became popular with the rest of the world. The background
image used here was from the series "Starship Troopers: Roughneck
Chronicles."
