Forget the recent return of the spy drama 24 to television. The absolute best-ever television spy drama has to be the The Sandbaggers, which aired on U.K. television in the late 1970's/early 1980's and is available for the rest of us on DVD. Trust me when I say that these old episodes of The Sandbaggers hold their own against any modern television series – HBO series included.

Heck, season two of The Sandbaggers is better than season one – the mark of a quality show.
